What an awesome firearm (one of our favourites)
The CZ Shadow was designed based on the proven design of the CZ 75 line of pistols. The original handgun was intended for use by law enforcement, military personnel, and special units, but with added input from Team CZ world premier shooters Angus Hobdell and Adam Tyc, the Shadow was born, designed to be the ultimate target pistol. It is exceedingly popular amongst IPSC shooters as one of the best production guns right out of the box.
The CZ Shadow features all steel construction, producing a relatively heavy gun that points as well as it absorbs recoil. An ergonomic grip coupled with a beavertail and recessed trigger guard allows the shooter to obtain an extremely comfortable, high grip on the pistol. A high bore axis and reduced slide profile further enhance this pistol's ability to mitigate felt recoil for the user.
The CZ Shadow also features no firing pin block, which, consequently, helps to slightly reduce trigger weight and travel properties. A slightly weaker recoil spring comes standard as a feature to reduce recoil and allow the ability to shoot lighter loads. Sights consist of fiber optic fronts with Novak style rears for quick and positive sight acquisition. The magwell is rounded off to assist in speed and stress reloads.
Every little detail was thought out and carefully placed within the gun to provide maximum functionality. Checkering and serrations are provided at the front of the trigger guard and the front of the slide as well. Textured rubber grip panels increase the abrasiveness of the grip to provide enhanced purchase to the user, even with sweaty palms. A cold hammer forged barrel provides long service life, unparalleled accuracy, unfailing reliability and high stability.
